Story Architecture Edit

A big-picture evaluation of your story’s structure, pacing, character arcs, tension, and world/plot clarity. This service focuses on the bones of the book — what’s working, what isn’t, and what needs strengthening at the structural level.

Rate: $0.015/word

Prose Precision Edit

A sentence-level refinement of voice, readability, rhythm, tone, clarity, and emotional impact. This is where your writing begins to sound intentional, polished, and publish-ready — without changing who you are as a storyteller.

Rate: $0.01/word

Final Polish Review

A final surface-level cleanup of grammar, punctuation, spelling, capitalization, and formatting consistency. This is the last step before formatting, uploading, or ARC distribution.

Rate: $0.07/word

These services can be bundled, as needed, for an additional discount.

Story Scene Intensive

A dedicated 48-hour editorial deep-dive focused on up to 5,000 words. Includes applied line edits and rewrite samples Designed for authors who want fast clarity, quick professional refinement, and focused guidance without waiting weeks.
Rate: $150/flat fee

Formatting (via Vellum, Word, or Google Docs)

Professional interior formatting is delivered upon completion of revisions. Includes clean chapter styling, ornamental scene breaks, and export of both EPUB (for eBook platforms) and print-ready PDF (for POD printers).
Rate: $75/flat fee

Manuscript Critique

A professional assessment of your manuscript without markup — delivered as a 3–5 page editorial letter outlining strengths, weaknesses, pacing notes, clarity concerns, and overall reader impression. This is ideal for authors who want direction before investing in full editing.
Rate: $250/flat fee

Why should I work with you?

Because I’m not just an editor — I’m an author too. I understand the creative, industry, and emotional aspects of the writing process. I bring more than 13 years of experience in technical writing, editing, and content creation, as well as four years of experience as an instructional designer. Academically, I hold an MFA in Creative Writing, an MA in Journalism & Communication, an MBA, and multiple certifications in writing and editing.

All of that means you’re not getting generic feedback or guesswork. You’re getting human editorial instinct and support that strengthens your voice.

How long does editing take?

Turnaround varies based on word count, service level, and current bookings. Most full-length manuscripts fall into a 3–4 week window once payment and the final draft are received. Story Scene Intensive is the exception. That service is completed in 48 48-hour window. Rush turnaround options may be available for an additional fee, subject to scheduling availability.

How is pricing determined?

Editing services are billed per word and quoted based on the word count of the manuscript at the time of booking. Premium add-ons and services are billed at a flat fee. You’ll receive a full quote before payment is required.

How do I submit payment and secure my booking?

Once your quote is approved, you’ll receive an invoice and a Client Service Agreement to sign. A deposit (or full payment, depending on service type) is required to officially reserve your editing slot. Work does not begin until both the Agreement is signed and payment is received. After those steps are completed, you’ll be provided with the upload instructions for your manuscript file.

Will you rewrite my book for me?

No. Editing and rewriting are not the same service. I will strengthen structure, flow, readability, craft, and clarity — but the creative voice remains yours. I don’t ghostwrite or replace large sections of text, but I will give you targeted notes, suggestions, and improvements so you can revise with confidence.
